Steeplechase : 2015 AAC NATIONALS

Continuing in the tradition started at the 2006 Nationals (also held in Burnaby) we will be having a steeplechase championship culminating in an unsanctioned final round Sunday afternoon.

How it works:

  • On Friday Aug 21, two rounds of sanctioned steeplechase (hosted by Matsqui Flyball and Agility Club) will be run.
  • Open to all AAC registered dogs eligible to compete in trials, whether entered in Nationals or not.
  • Winners of their height class in either steeplechase preliminary round will pass on to final.
  • Scores for the two rounds will be combined for average yps.
  • Top 20% in each height class (min of 3 dogs) will be entered in unsanctioned final round to be run Sunday afternoon before the final ribbon ceremonies.
  • Some height classes may be combined depending on entry, no double drop classes.
  • Top three dogs in each height class in final round receive cash prizes (a combination of a minimum prize plus percentage of entries in each class).
  • Top handlers in each height class receive special commemorative cap.
